Your Safety Matters

Your precise GPS location is never shared in real time with other players. TurfWar only shows which street segments you have claimed — not your current position during a run. Start and end points of runs are masked by default to prevent identification of your home or workplace address.

You control who sees your routes. By default, routes are shared publicly after a run completes. You can switch to private mode in My Turf → Settings to keep all routes hidden from other players. Private mode still allows you to claim territory.

TurfWar excludes schools, hospitals, government buildings, and other sensitive locations from the game map. These areas cannot be claimed as territory. If you believe a location should be excluded, you can report it through the in-app report function.

Stalking, harassment, and intimidation are violations of TurfWar's Fair Play policy and will result in a permanent ban. You can block any player from your profile or from the activity feed. Blocked players cannot see your territory or interact with your account. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

TurfWar is a real-world game. Always be aware of your surroundings while running. Do not run into traffic, trespass on private property, or enter unsafe areas to claim territory. No game objective is worth your physical safety. If you feel unsafe, stop your run and move to a safe location.

All location data is encrypted in transit and at rest. TurfWar does not sell your personal data to third parties. Location history is retained for 12 months and can be deleted at any time from My Turf → Settings → Delete Account. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
